I replaced my 20+ year old spacemaker with this new one and I am very happy with it. It is true that it does not fit in the old mounting holes and the template that comes with it is off. Since I read about the installation problems, my husband was able to install the coffee maker quickly and easily by not following the directions! The coffee pot pours without dripping and spilling and I have no trouble filling the water reservoir. My favorite feature is the timer -- I love waking up to a pot of freshly brewed coffee! The coffee maker looks great too!

This is the 2nd one of the Black & Deker SDC740 I have owened The first one quite working after 3 years it had made over 2000 pots of coffie.
It's very space saveing and works well. If you have a space proublem it is the only way to go
